Today’s featured tech tip….
How to quickly share files between two nearby Apple devices
Do you often share files between Apple devices with a USB flash drive?
How about sending them via email, SMS text messaging or an instant messaging service?
Well, here’s a little tip for you…
Apple devices have a handy feature called AirDrop that uses Bluetooth to facilitate a peer-to-peer Wi-Fi network between iPhones, iPads and Macs.
As long as two of those devices are within Bluetooth range of one another and have both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled you can quickly and easily share most any type of file on one Apple device with another Apple device without having to use email or any other complicated means of communication.
What’s more, you won’t even need a cellular data signal or an Internet connection.
You’ll find instructions for using AirDrop with your iPhone or iPad right here.
Click here for instructions for using AirDrop with your Mac.
