Today’s featured tech tip….
Prevent Windows from rearranging your Desktop icons
By default Windows will insist on arranging the icons on your Desktop to suit itself, even if you prefer keeping certain icons “parked” in specific places on the screen.
I have a system that I use for arranging my icons in groups in various places on the screen, and I want the icons to stay there because it makes it easier for me to quickly find the icon I need to click on in order to complete a given task.
If you dislike having Windows rearrange your icons as well, you can easily put a stop to it. Here’s how:
1 – Right-Click on an empty area of the Desktop and select View from the context menu.
2 – Click on Auto arrange icons to deselect it (the check mark should go away).
That’s all there is to it. You should now be able to arrange your Desktop icons any way you see fit without Windows taking it upon itself to rearrange them without your permission.

JBL Charge 5 Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker
You’re probably well aware that JBL makes some of the best Bluetooth speakers in their price range, but did you know some of them actually serve as portable power banks for other devices as well?
This one will let you listen to your digital music for up to 20 hours and optionally charge your phone at the same time (charging your phone will reduce the speaker’s run time).
Today’s post from ‘My Daily Smile’…
Q&A: Why do we always see the same side of the moon?
