Update about the Social Fixer extension mentioned in yesterday’s newsletter
Yesterday’s newsletter linked to a blog post I had written explaining how to use a browser extension called Social Fixer to block posts of a political nature from your Facebook Newsfeed.
Well, it turns out that Social Fixer recently removed several important features from the extension after being threatened with a lawsuit by Facebook. And unfortunately, one of the features they removed was the ability to filter certain types of stories from your Newsfeed.
Faithful reader Russ B. sent me the link to this article detailing the changes and the reason why Social Fixer felt the need to make them. I try my best to remain up to date on things like this, but this very important development simply slipped past me.
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that post about Social Fixer might have caused.
