Today’s featured tech tip….
How to quickly find most anything on your Windows PC
There a probably a million and one different files, photos, programs, apps and settings available to you on your Windows 10/11 PC.
But do you know how to find what you need without having to follow every menu or check every folder on your hard drive?
As luck would have it, there’s a very simple way to quickly find what you’re looking for in most situations: Just search for it.
Want to quickly launch the Control Panel? Click the Start button and start typing the words Control Panel. Then click on Control Panel when it appears in the search results.
Want to find a specific file? Just click the Start button and then type the filename.
Need to quickly adjust one of the mouse settings? Just click the Start button and type the words mouse settings. It’ll pop right up in the search results.
You get the picture…
This doesn’t work 100% of the time, but it’ll work in the vast majority of cases. It’s always worth a try, especially if you don’t know exactly how to navigate to the item you’re needing to access.

Rick’s Daily Pick…
Do you often find that your computer goes to sleep on you after a period of inactivity, at the most inopportune times? It can get rather tedious having to constantly be jiggling the mouse just to keep the computer awake.
Well, just plug this little gem into an open USB port and it’ll jiggle the mouse for you to keep to the machine from drifting off to sleep. Then just remove the device when you’re done and the machine will go to sleep when you’re ready for it to.
