How to stop Firefox from storing your card info
Today I’m finishing up my series of tutorials explaining how to prevent your web browser from storing your credit/debit card info.
As I explained in the earlier tips, allowing your browser to store your card info is incredibly convenient, but it’s also incredibly dangerous.
I have already provided instructions for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Opera. Today we’re going finish up with Mozilla Firefox. Just follow the steps below:
1 – Open Firefox and click the three lines icon in the top-right corner of the window, then select Settings from the menu.
2 – In the left-hand pane, click Privacy & Security.
3 – In the right-hand pane, scroll down to the “Forms and Autofill” section and uncheck the box beside Autofill credit cards.
4 – Click the Saved credit cards button and remove any cards that are currently stored in Firefox.
That’s all there is to it. Any credit or debit cards that were previously stored in Firefox should now be gone, and the browser shouldn’t be saving any more of them in the future (unless you decide to reverse the procedure above).
