Today’s featured tech tip….
How to select which network your Mac will try to connect to first
Do you have multiple networks that you connect your Mac to at various times?
If so, you probably find it irritating when the machine automatically connects to a network other than the one you use most often.
For example, if you primarily use your MacBook via a wired Ethernet connection it’s probably annoying when it automatically connects to your WiFi network every time you power it on.
Luckily, it’s very easy to change the network that your Mac will try to connect to first. Here’s how:
1 – Click the Apple icon on the top menu bar.
2 – Click System Settings, then click Network.
3 – Click the Action pop-up menu and select Set Service Order.
4 – Click on the connection you want to machine to attempt to connect to first and drag it to the top of the list.
5 – Click Ok.
