Today’s featured tech tip….
Chrome now checks for typos in URLs
Don’t you just hate it when you type a long URL into your browser’s address bar only to be shown a “404 – Page not found” error simply because you made a minor typo in the URL?
Well, Google has added a new accessibility feature to the Chrome browser that detects URL typos and gives you a list of suggestions based upon what you typed for the rest of the URL.
While you have to be careful to select the actual page/website you’re wanting to visit from the list of suggestions, this can be a real timesaver.
You can read more about this handy new feature as well as several other new features for various Google services right here.
Note: This new feature is only available in the Desktop version of Chrome at this time, but Google will be rolling it out to mobile users as well in the near future.
