Today’s quick tech tip….
How to hide Edge’s right-hand sidebar
A few days ago I wrote a post and made a video explaining how to remove the new “Discover” button that Microsoft has added to the top-right corner of the Edge browser.
After that post and video went live I received a flood of emails asking if there is any way to remove the thin sidebar from the right-hand side of the Edge window.
The answer is yes, and it’s surprisingly easy. Here’s a short video that shows how to do it.
1 – Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the right-side sidebar and click the “gear” shaped Settings icon.
2 – Toggle the “Always show sidebar” setting to Off by clicking the blue slider.
That’s all there is to it. The right-hand sidebar should now be gone.
But what if you later change your mind and decide that you want the missing sidebar back?
Well, that’s almost as easy as hiding it. Just follow these steps:
1 – Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the Edge window, then select Settings from the drop-down menu.
2 – In the left-hand pane, click Sidebar.
3 – Toggle the “Always show sidebar” setting back to On.

ECOFLOW 512Wh RIVER 2 Max Portable Power Station (#ad)
I frequently recommend keeping your most important electronic gadgets plugged into a battery backup device.
They truly are indispensable in my humble opinion.
However, battery backups are primarily used just to keep your computer and other sensitive gear up and running long enough to ensure that they are powered down safely instead of just shut off immediately when the power goes out.
So what if you need to keep your computer or TV powered up for hours instead of minutes? Well, here’s your answer.
