Today’s quick tech tip….
Windows: How to quickly find out how many files are in a folder
Do you ever need to find out how many files are in a given folder on your Windows PC?
If so, here’s a little tip you can use to quickly get the total number of files contained within a folder without having to count them all.
1 – Open the folder in question, then press the Ctrl+A key combination to highlight all the files in the folder.
2 – Click on one of the the highlighted files and pretend that you’re going to drag the files to a different location. Don’t actually drag them anywhere – just move the mouse a tiny bit.
3 – See that little number inside the box? That’s the actual number of files this folder has in it.
4 – Release the mouse button.
