Today’s quick tech tip….
Use your old smartphone as a security camera
These days most everyone has at least one unused, but still operational smartphone laying around the house. If you’ve been wondering what to do with yours, why not convert it into a WiFi security camera?
All you have to do is install a good smartphone security camera app on the phone and figure out a way to mount it where you want it to do the monitoring (inexpensive commercial mounts and tripods are readily available, as are numerous home-brew solutions).
There are several good smartphone security camera apps available for both iPhones and Androids. Just sign in to the appropriate app store and select one.
