Today’s quick tech tip….
Q&A: Can I make my Mac’s Dock work like a Windows Taskbar?
Question from Freida: I recently bought my first Mac after using nothing but Windows PCs for many years, and the switch is going fine except for one thing. I can’t seem to get used to the Dock.
Yep, I miss my Taskbar.
Is there any way to make the Dock on a Mac work like the Taskbar on a Windows PC?
Rick’s answer: That’s a great question, Freida. And the answer is yes (well, more or less).
While there is no way to make the Dock look and work exactly like the Windows Taskbar, there’s a really nice app that can give you more or less the same Taskbar experience.
This app is called ubar, and it works quite well.
uBar isn’t free, but I believe it’s well worth the money for anyone who really wants to create a more Windows-like Mac experience.
