Today’s quick tech tip….
Q&A: How do I download my Contacts from LinkedIn?
Question from Hannah: I’m planning to close my LinkedIn account but I’d like to download a list of my Contacts first. And I have a lot of them because I’ve been using LinkedIn for several years.
Can you tell me what I need to do in order to download a list of my LinkedIn Contacts?
Rick’s answer: I’ll be happy to help you with this, Hannah.
It’s actually pretty easy to download a list of your LinkedIn Contacts. Just follow the steps below:
Note: You will have to complete the following procedure using a web browser on a laptop or desktop computer. LinkedIn doesn’t currently provide a way to download your Contacts using the LinkedIn mobile app.
1 – Sign into your LinkedIn account.
2 – Click on your tiny profile avatar photo on the top menu bar (it has the word Me under it).
3 – Click Settings & Privacy.
4 – In the left-hand pane, click Data privacy.
5 – In the right-hand pane, click Get a copy of your data.
6 – Check the box beside Connections, then click Request archive.
7 – Look for an email containing instructions for downloading the file containing your Contacts.
