Today’s quick tech tip….
Windows 11: How to show all icons in the Notifications area
If you have a PC that’s running Windows 11 you might have noticed that just a few of the available icons are actually displayed in the Notifications area on the far-right side of the Taskbar. The rest of them are hidden.
If you want to see one of the hidden icons you have to click the Show hidden icons icon (it looks like an upwards-pointing arrow).
But what if you want to always keep all of the available icons in view at all times, thereby avoiding the need to click the “Show hidden icons” icon at all?
Well, you can. And luckily, it’s very easy to make it happen. Just follow the steps below:
1 – Right-click on a blank area of the Taskbar and click Taskbar settings.
2 – In the right-hand pane, scroll down and click Taskbar corner overflow. You should now see a list of all the icons that are available for display in the Notifications area.
3 – Click the slider for every icon that’s currently turned Off to toggle it On (the slider should turn blue).
4 – Close the Settings app.
That’s all there is to it. You should now see every available icon displayed in the Notifications area. You should no longer see the “Show hidden icons” icon.
