Today’s quick tech tip….
Can you charge your laptop with a portable charger?
You’re probably familiar with the portable external battery packs / chargers that let you charge your smartphone or tablet even when there is no 120VAC wall outlet available.
But did you know that many modern laptops can be charged with a portable charger as well?
If you have a new MacBook, Chromebook or Windows laptop that supports USB-C charging, you can get yourself a portable charger to ensure that you never get stuck with a laptop you can’t use due to a dead battery.
What’s more, if you get one that supports USB-C PD (Power Delivery) you’ll even be able to keep using your laptop while it’s charging.
Any high-quality USB-C PD portable charger will do as long as it has enough battery capacity to get the job done. Just be sure to choose one that supplies at least 30,000mAh / 65W for the best results.
If you’d like a specific recommendation, I use and recommend this one.
