Today’s quick tech tip….
Android: How to quickly grant several people access to a WiFi network
Want to quickly grant several people access to a WiFi network?
If you have an Android phone you can do it with just a few quick taps. Here’s how:
1 – Make sure your phone is connected to the WiFi network you want to share the password for.
2 – Tap your phone’s Settings icon (it looks like a “gear”).
3 – Tap Network & Internet.
4 – Tap Wi-Fi.
5 – Tap the “gear” icon beside the connected network.
6 – Tap either Share or QR Code (whichever designation your particular phone uses).
7 – Enter your phone’s PIN (if you’re prompted to do so).
8 – Ask each person to open the Camera app on their Android phones or iPhones and scan the QR Code that’s displayed on your phone’s screen.
9 – They will then be asked if they want to connect to the network.
That’s all there is to it. Although there are several steps involved with this procedure, it’ll quickly become second nature and only take a few seconds after you’ve done it a few times.
