Today’s quick tech tip….
How to force Opera to show the full URL in the address bar
If you use the Opera browser on your computer you might have noticed that parts of the URL in the address bar are typically hidden by default.
Personally, I prefer seeing the entire URL so I’ll always know exactly which exact page on the site I’m visiting at the moment.
If you’d prefer seeing the entire URL as well you can force Opera to display it with a simple Settings change. Here’s how:
1 – Launch Opera and click the big red O in the top-left corner of the window, then select Settings from the drop-down menu.
2 – Scroll down and click the Advanced link at the very bottom of the page.
3 – Scroll down to the “User interface” section and toggle the “Show full URL in combined search and address bar” setting to On (the slider should turn blue).
That’s all there is to it. From now on Opera will always display the entire URL in the browser’s address bar. No more guessing exactly which page you’re on.
