Today’s quick tech tip….
How to install iPhone and iPad Apps on your (newer) Mac
Do you own one of the newer Macs that’s powered by Apple Silicon?
If so, you can install and run your favorite iPhone and iPads apps on it. That way you won’t have to “go mobile” every time you need to use one of those apps.
Sound good? Just follow the steps below to get your favorite mobile app(s) up and running on your Mac:
1 – Click the LaunchPad icon that’s on your Mac’s Dock (it looks like nine multi-colored squares).
2 – Click the App Store icon.
Note: If you don’t see the App Store icon on the Dock you can search for it using the Spotlight search tool. Just press the Cmd+Space Bar key combination and type App Store into the search box.
3 – Once the App Store is open, type the name of the app you wish to install into the Search box, then click iPhone & iPad apps.
If the app is available for installation on a Mac you should now see it listed in the search results.
4 – If you’re asked to do so, either enter your Apple ID password or sign in with TouchID.
5 – Click the Get button (it looks like a cloud) to install the app on your Mac.
That’s all there is to it. That app should now be installed on your Mac, ready and waiting for you to run it whenever you need it.
