Today’s quick tech tip….
How to quickly open an Incognito window with your keyboard
If you frequently use Chrome in Incognito mode you probably open your Incognito windows by clicking the three dots in the top-right corner of the Chrome window and then selecting New Incognito window from the resulting menu.
But did you know there’s an even quicker way to open an Incognito window using the keyboard?
If you’re using a Windows PC, a Linux box or a Chromebook, just press the Ctrl+Shift+N key combination and a new Incognito window will pop right up.
If you’re using a Mac you can open an Incognito window by pressing Command+Shift+N.
And by the way, you Firefox users can use the keyboard to quickly open a Private window in your browser as well.
Just press Ctrl+Shift+P on your Windows or Linux machine or Command+Shift+P on your Mac.
And now, here’s an important reminder: Always remember that while surfing Incognito can help ensure your privacy, it’s far from fool-proof.
