Today’s Quick Tip….
How to disable autoplaying videos in Edge
Do you dislike having the videos on the web page you visit start playing automatically as soon as you load the page in your browser?
If so, you can easily disable autoplaying videos in most browsers’ Settings screens.
Until recently Microsoft didn’t provide a way to completely disable autoplaying videos in their Edge browser, but now you can. Here’s how:
1 – Open the Edge browser and type (or copy and paste) the following into the address bar, then press the Enter key:
edge://flags
2 – Type the word autoplay into the search box.
3 – Find the “Show block option in autoplay settings” line and change that setting to Enabled.
4 – Click the Restart button in the lower-right corner of the window to restart Edge.
5 – Click the Settings and more icon in the top-right corner of the window (it looks like three vertical dots).
6 – Click Settings.
7 – In the left-hand pane, click Cookies & site permissions.
8 – Scroll down to the “All permissions” section and click Media autoplay.
9 – Change the “Control if audio and video play automatically on sites” setting to Block.
That’s all there is to it. From now on the videos on the web pages you visit with your Chrome browser should no longer start playing until you click on them.

Rick’s Daily Pick…
weBoost Home MultiRoom Cell Phone Signal Booster (#ad)
Is the cellular signal inside your home weak and unreliable?
If so, this device can amplify the signal picked up by its outdoor antenna and broadcast a stronger, more stable signal to the rooms inside.
Previous versions of this device left a lot to be desired, but this one works well as long as there’s a decent signal available outside the home.
