Today’s Quick Tip….
Two ways to ‘Undo’ and ‘Redo’ an action on a Mac
Like Windows PCs, Linux machines and most other modern computers, all Apple Macs and MacBooks have a handy pair of commands that allow you to “Undo” (i.e. reverse) an action and optionally “Redo” (i.e. reverse) the “Undo” action you most recently performed.
Most Mac users are aware of the first method which is simply selecting the “Undo” or “Redo” option under most any app’s “Edit” menu.
The thing is, there are a few Mac apps that don’t have an “Undo” and/or “Redo” option on their Edit menus.
What’s more, some apps don’t have an Edit menu at all.
If you find yourself needing to “Redo” and/or “Undo” an action you took in one of those apps you’ll almost always be able to perform those tasks using a keyboard combination…
If you need to “Undo” something, simply press the Command+Z key combination on your Mac’s keyboard.
To “Redo” the thing you last undid, press Shift+Command+Z.
