Today’s Quick Tip….
How to block a problem user on LinkedIn
If you’ve been using LinkedIn for a while you’ve probably noticed how different the atmosphere is on there compared to Facebook, Twitter and the other major social media sites.
For the most part, the folks on LinkedIn just tend to me more civil to one another.
However, as with any online community, a bad apple will pop up every now and then.
If someone starts harassing you, stalking you or just generally making your life miserable on LinkedIn, you can easily put a stop to it by blocking their profile.
Follow the steps below for the device you’re using.
If you use LinkedIn in a web browser on a laptop or desktop computer:
1 – Log into your account and visit the person’s Profile page.
2 – Click the More button.
3 – Click Report/Block.
4 – Click Block [user].
If you use the LinkedIn app on a mobile device:
1 – Log into your account and visit the person’s Profile page.
2 – Tap the More icon (it looks like three dots inside a circle).
3 – Tap Report or block.
4 – Tap Block [user].
That’s all there is to it. That blocked user will no longer be able to see your profile, contact you or interact with your posts in any way.
