Today’s Quick Tip….
Firefox is now available via the Microsoft Store
One of the biggest annoyances of the Microsoft Store has always been the lack of choices for various types of apps, including third-party web browsers.
If you’ve ever searched the Microsoft Store for Google Chrome, Opera, Firefox or any other major third-party browser, your search came up empty.
In order to install one of those browsers on a Windows 10/11 machine your only option was to to visit that browser’s website in Windows’ native Edge browser and install it from the official download page.
But not anymore…
Starting today you can install Firefox directly from the Microsoft Store without having to fire up Edge and visit the Mozilla website and install it from there.
And Firefox is just the beginning – other browsers will soon be on their way as well.
The addition of Firefox to the Microsoft Store is still rolling out as I write this so there’s a chance you won’t be able to find it for a day two via the Store’s search box. If that’s the case you can install it on your Windows 10/11 PC right now by visiting Microsoft’s Firefox download page directly:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/mozilla-firefox/9nzvdkpmr9rd
Again, other popular browsers will soon be available from the Microsoft Store as well, so stay tuned!

Rick’s Daily Pick…
Gryphon Guardian Router & Mesh WiFi System (#ad)
Regular readers of this blog know I’m a huge fan of the NetGear Orbi line of mesh WiFi router systems because I write about them quite a bit.
Several folks have asked me to recommend a less expensive alternative that still provides excellent coverage, and this is it.
While the Orbi is still my first choice in a mesh WiFi system, this much less expensive choice from Gryphon is a fantastic alternative.
