Today’s Quick Tip….
Quickly find your car in a crowded parking lot with your phone
Have you ever parked your car in a crowded mall parking lot or in long-term parking at an airport only to forget where you parked it upon your return?
Yeah, me too. And it’s no fun searching aisle after aisle for your car amidst a sea of other cars, many of which look just like yours from a distance.
Well, here’s a little tip that can make finding your car a breeze, even in the biggest of lots…
Right after you’ve finished parking and exited your car, pull out your phone and send yourself a quick text message containing the approximate location of your vehicle.
Something as simple as “Section C – Row 9” or “Third row on the right side of the main entrance to Macy’s” should work just fine.
Don’t know how to send a text to your own phone? It’s easy…
Just start a new text and enter your own phone number in the “To:” field.
Bonus tip: You can also take a picture of the building from the car’s location before you start walking towards the building. That way you can look at the photo later and “reverse engineer” the image to determine the approximate location of your vehicle.
