Today’s Quick Tip….
How to stop the screen on your Android phone from rotating
Do you get frustrated when your Android phone rotates the a photo you’re looking at even when you don’t want it to?
I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. You open a photo to check it out and the screen automatically rotates the image and turns it sideways.
You rotate the phone to get the photo back into the desired orientation only to have it rotate on you again.
The next thing you know you’re shopping for a new phone because you threw the one you had down the nearest storm drain.
Well, there’s a very simple way to ensure that you can always view your Android phone’s screen and photos at the desired orientation. Here’s how:
1 – Go into your phone’s Display settings and disable the Auto-rotate screen setting.
That’s it. There is no step 2.
From now on your phone’s screen won’t rotate every time you rotate the phone. You can simply rotate the phone manually when you need to view it in a different way.
If you rotate the phone and then end up with a photo oriented incorrectly, just tap the little Rotate icon that pops up in the corner of the screen every time the phone rotates. Problem solved!

It’s now pretty much common knowledge that replacing a computer’s hard drive with a super-fast SSD is one of the best upgrades one can make for the money.
If you have a laptop or desktop computer that could use a nice speed boost, this little gem could be just what you need.
As long as your machine can accept a 2.5″ SATA drive you’ll be good to go!
