Today’s Quick Tip….
How to delete an unused Yahoo email account
Yahoo used to be one of the most popular email services on the Internet, but several major security breaches and other factors have caused them to fall out of favor with many users.
Numerous Yahoo users have switched to other email providers, and a good number of those folks simply abandoned their accounts instead of deleting them.
As I explained in this post, it’s not good having unused email accounts residing anywhere on the web.
Therefore, if you happen to have a dormant Yahoo Mail account that you no longer use I strongly recommend that you delete it. Here’s how:
Important: Following the steps below will delete your entire Yahoo account, not just your email service. Be sure to take that into consideration before proceeding.
1 – Click here to visit the “Terminating your Yahoo account” page on Yahoo’s website.
2 – Enter your Yahoo password (if requested to do).
3 – (Note: This step is optional) – Read the text on the page that explains the ramifications of deleting your account, then continue with step 4 if you still want to delete it.
4 – Follow the steps as they appear from this point on.
