Today’s Quick Tip….
Give your Windows 10 PC an immediate performance boost
Did you know there’s an easy way to give your Windows 10 machine an immediate performance boost?
All you have to do is switch its power plan to High performance (assuming it isn’t already set to High performance of course).
Just be aware that switching your PC to High performance will cause it to consume more power, and that will result in your laptop’s battery being depleted faster if it’s running on battery power.
However, if your laptop is running on AC power or your PC is a desktop machine the extra power consumption won’t really matter unless you prefer to conserve energy whenever possible.
Want to give it a try? Just follow the steps below:
1 – Press the Windows key and then start typing the words control panel.
2 – Select Control Panel from the list of search results.
3 – Click Hardware and Sound.
4 – Click Power Options.
If your PC is typical you should now see that its power plan setting is set to either “Balanced (recommended)” or “Power saver” with another option labeled “High performance” that’s available for you to switch to.
5 – Select the High performance option to give your PC an immediate performance boost.
Note: If you don’t see the “High performance” option listed try clicking on Show additional plans.

Rick’s Daily Pick…
Sperry Instruments GFI6302 GFCI Outlet Tester
Did you know an incorrectly wired electrical outlet can prevent your surge suppressor from protecting your expensive computer gear from power surges and lightning strikes?
And even worse, it could even potentially cause a house fire.
This inexpensive little device will tell you right away whether an outlet is wired correctly or needs to be rewired.
Just plug it into the outlet and match the lights up with the diagram on the front of the tester. It really is that simple.

Today’s post from ‘My Daily Smile’…
Helping others is a great way to help yourself
Sometimes when we help someone else we end up getting just as much satisfaction from it as the person we helped.
