Today’s Quick Tip….
Why your blog posts need to be concise and to the point
Do you often click on links to read blog posts that claim to have the answers to problems you’re dealing with at the moment?
If so, chances are you’ve found yourself on pages that just seem to ramble here and there without ever really getting around to providing the solutions you so desperately need.
Now, if you’re a blogger put yourself in the reader’s shoes for a moment. Do your posts offer the same aimless and meandering strings of sentences that I described above?
While that writing style is fine (and perhaps even desirable) when writing fiction, it can really turn visitors against your blog if your posts are meant to help folks solve their problems.
When I write a post for my own blogs I always try to write from the perspective of a reader.
If I wouldn’t want to read something, I try my best not to write it.
Recommendation: Keep your informational posts just long enough to fully answer the question at hand and you’ll have a great chance at succeeding as a blogger.
I know most of the blogging gurus advise writing massive “epic” posts that rival a chapter from “War and Peace”, but I humbly disagree.
Unless you’re writing a sequel to “War and Peace”, keep your posts short, simple and concise and I’ll believe you’ll be well rewarded for your efforts.

From the blog…
Registry Finder: A powerful replacement for Windows’ native Registry Editor
RegEdit is one of the most powerful tools in Microsoft Windows, but it isn’t exactly known for being easy to use. Registry Finder making editing the Registry a lot easier.
Review: WP Rocket (WordPress Caching Plugin)
I installed the premium WP Rocket WordPress caching plugin on my blog in an attempt to speed it up and bring it into compliance with Google’s new “Core Web Vitals” guidelines. This post has the results of that test.
Q&A: Why is my PC giving me a ‘Disk Boot Failure’?
A reader asks for help troubleshooting a “Disk Boot Failure” error on his Windows PC.

Rick’s Daily Pick…
Do you often use your laptop in places where there is no desk or table available to rest it on?
If so, you need a good lap desk. I really like this attractive and ridiculously functional wooden lap desk from Huanuo. I believe you will too.

Today’s post from ‘My Daily Smile’…
Like cats? Then you’d love Japan’s ‘Cat Island’.
Cats haven’t always outnumbered humans on this small island, but they have for a good while now.
