Today’s Quick Tip….
If you ever need to place a gadget or any type of electronic device into long-term storage, be sure to remove the battery(ies) from the device before stowing it away.
Batteries of all types degrade over time, and that sometimes results in the battery leaking caustic chemicals that can damage the device and anything else the chemicals happen to come into contact with.
Even worse, on rare occasions a bad battery will even explode or burst into flames.
Don’t chance it. If you can possibly remove the battery(ies) from a device, do so before placing the device into storage.
As they say, better safe than sorry.
