Livid users are hitting social media in droves to complain after finding that their PCs have been automatically updated to Windows 10 without their knowledge or permission.
Until recently a user would have to intentionally click their approval before the Windows 10 update would be installed on his/her system, but that’s no longer the case for users who have Windows set to install updates automatically.
The Windows 10 update files are now being downloaded to users’ PCs along with regular routine updates, and if a computer is set to install updates automatically, Windows 10 will be installed without any interaction from the user at all.
Thousands of folks who are perfectly happy with Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 are now finding that their machines have been automatically updated to Windows 10, and it isn’t going over very well to say the least.
Negative posts blasting Microsoft have poured in to Reddit and Twitter, and I believe the guys and gals in Redmond would be wise to consider all the bad will they’re generating among the Windows user base.
Bottom line: If your computer is running either Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 and you don’t want it to be updated to Windows 10, I suggest that you read this post ASAP.
