If you’ve been using Facebook for more than 10 minutes you’ve no doubt seen posts that made you so upset you wanted to click a button to “Dislike” it.
Well, before long you’ll be able to do just that.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has just announced that the company is actively developing a Dislike button, and it WILL be rolled out to users when it is ready.
Users have repeatedly asked Facebook for the ability to “dislike” certain things that show up in their Newsfeeds, but the powers that be have always declined to allow it because they thought a Dislike button could be used to “downvote” the posts of people or companies they don’t like. But they have now apparently changed their mind.
This is what Zuckerberg had to say on the matter:
“I think people have asked about the dislike button for many years. Today is a special day because today is the day I can say we’re working on it and shipping it.”
Food for thought: How do you feel about Facebook introducing a “Dislike” button? Do you think it’s a good idea or a bad move?
