Two-Factor Authentication has quickly become the preferred method of securing online accounts from hackers because it adds a second, even more secure physical requirement to logging into an account.
Of course that extra requirement is having physical access to your mobile phone, which makes it just about as secure as it can get.
Although there will likely never be an absolutely 100% effective way of protecting online accounts from hackers, two-factor authentication is probably the most secure method available today. That’s why I recommend enabling it on your LinkedIn account right now. Here’s how:
1 – Log in to your LinkedIn account.
2 – Click on your tiny avatar photo on the menu bar at the top of the screen.
3 – Click Settings & Privacy.
4 – Click Account.
5 – Scroll down to the “Two-step verification” line and click Change, then follow the prompts as directed.
That’s all there is to it. From now on a hacker will need physical access to your mobile phone in order to log in to your LinkedIn account.
