Today’s featured tech tip….
How to find a user manual online for most any gadget
Did you know a user manual for just about every gadget known to man is available to you at virtually a moment’s notice?
Many manufacturers have been placing PDF copies of their products’ user manuals online for years, and that even includes many products that were made long before the Internet was even a thing.
If an online (or downloadable) user manual is available for a product you own you should be able to find it in a flash simply by typing the words “user manual for” + the brand and model of the product into your favorite search engine.
For example, let’s say you need a user manual for a Brother MFC-L2690DW laser printer. Just type the following into the Google search box:
user manual for Brother MFC-L2690DW
The search results page Google provides will include a link to that printer’s “Support” page, from which you can download the manual at no charge.
