Today’s featured tech tip….
Android: Here’s the quickest way to end a phone call
If you have an Android phone you’ve probably noticed that it can sometimes be difficult to end a voice call when you’re unable to use both hands for some reason.
Well here’s a very simple solution: Set your phone to end calls simply by pressing the Power button. It’s easy to do, and it works like a charm.
Follow the steps below to set it up:
Note: The Settings menus vary quite a bit from phone to phone in the Android world. Therefore, just use the steps below as a general guide.
1 – Tap the gear-shaped Settings icon.
2 – Tap Accessibility.
3 – Scroll down and toggle the “Power button ends call” option to On.
That’s all there is to it. From now on when you want to end a phone call you won’t have to juggle the phone with one hand while scrambling to find the “End Call” button.
Simply press the phone’s Power button and the call will be terminated immediately.
By the way, if you’re wondering why I didn’t include instructions for setting this up on an iPhone, it’s because iPhones already have this feature activated by default.
